Belle (ABC39764)

Belle was born 6/15/93 and is black and white with one blue and one brown eye.  Her dam was a nice little bitch named Meg (ABC39759), out of Jagger/Williams lines and her sire was an Open Class SDT winning dog named Imp. Glen (ABC22144) and known to everyone as Spot.

Belle runs in ISDS (Border Collie) trials, and moved into the Open class in December 1998.  Belle is an incredibly keen dog with a fair amount of eye, very patient with her stock and not at all grippy unless challenged, and is very trustworthy at long distances and out of sight.  She's the dog you want if your sheep have gone over the hill and you can't find them - send Belle and they'll be home soon safe and sound.  She has been very successful in the Novice through Ranch trial classes with several wins and many placements, including Overall Novice Champion at Seclusival in 1996.  Belle is a great farm dog, working sheep and goats, and the word "quit" isn't in her vocabulary!  She's affectionately known around Shoofly Farm as "the queen of Shoofly".

Belle was a sweet puppy, and into everything.  She never laid down to rest on her own a single time until she was about a year old.  If it wasn't for a crate, she might have never slept!  Belle continues to this day to be a joyful, playful dog with a wonderful sense of humor.  She loves to fetch and swim, and looks for ways to be amusing and bring a smile to my face or make me laugh.  Even now, at 6 years old, she'll still have "puppy fits" and fly around the house at 90 miles an hour careening around and on and over furniture with a toy in her mouth and a wild look in her eye.  She's always loved learning new things and knows dozens of tricks.
